In one of the school’s most-loved traditions, Brown University organist Mark Steinbach performs his annual Halloween organ recital on the world’s largest Hutchings-Votey pipe organ in Sayles Hall. At midnight, students jam the old gym floor to listen to Steinbach’s Halloween-appropriate selections.
“Latin Carol Celebration”
The Latin language (and Greek and a smattering of Sanskrit) is alive and well during Christmastime at the Brown University Classics Department’s annual Latin Carol Celebration at the First Baptist Church in America in Providence.
