Video: Providence diner added to National Register. Or, is it just bacon porn?

If you’re into history:

The Liberty Elm, a/k/a, the Central Diner, has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. The 1947 Worcester Lunch Car Diner is one of about 90 remaining diners of this style. The Central Diner moved from downtown Providence to Elmwood Avenue in 1953. After a series of owners and names, the diner is now known as The Liberty Elm, serving up good food and friendship seven days a week.

If you’re into bacon:

It was difficult to concentrate on shooting the video while being that close to that much bacon — not to mention the sausage and eggs — for several hours last Wednesday. If you’re into bacon, you know what I mean. Here’s a close-up. Enjoy.
